OK, I have to admit this this is a strange collection. In the late 1980's and early 1990's, I worked for Kmart behind the service desk and the store played specific pre-recorded cassettes issued by corporate. This was background music, or perhaps you could call it elevator music. Anyways, I saved these tapes from the trash during this period and this video shows you my extensive, odd collection. Until around 1992, the cassettes were rotated monthly. Then, they were replaced weekly. Finally...

Virtual reality started out as a science fiction concept in the early 1950s. Now, VR has become a kind of holy grail - lots of promises and claims, few results delivered. This program looks at the state of virtual reality. Demonstrations include the Talking Glove, AutoDesk's Cyberspace project, the Virtual Hand, GestureGlove, CyberGlove, CyberCAD, Virtus Corporation's WalkThrough. Also a visit to the Virtual Reality Showcase at the Software Development Conference in Santa Clara, California....

Trailers for two fetishistic exploitation films from 1967. Both were made in New York and share the same personnel. "Venus in Furs" (1967) directed by Joseph Marzano stars Barbara Ellen. The first film inspired by the famous Sacher-Masoch novel. Contains foot fetishism, animal role playing, and other oddities. "Cool it Baby", directed by Lou Campa, is written by Joe Marzano and also stars Barbara Ellen. More of a "roughie" that copies the "Olga's House of...

Probably 1968? This is an episode of a silly 1960s game show where female contestants try to find the man of their dreams by asking three men a series of questions. Mindless fluff, but at least it is better than "Blind Date". As an added bonus there is the original commercials, one of which features Betty White! Am I correct in thinking this doesn't have a copyright notice? On the other hand, one of the commercials features one. Huh? This show isn't bad for what it is. Unfortunately...

Public kissing was greatly frowned upon during the uptight Victorian era, when this scene was produced in Thomas Edison's new glass-topped studio in New York City. As a result, the movie was banned in most areas (which of course, only made it more popular). Sadly, the two lovers have come down through history as unknowns, but their behavior is most familiar. In their day, this popular sport was called "sparkin'" if it took place inside (usually in the parlor), or "spoonin'"...

In November, 1940, the newly completed Tacoma Narrows Bridge, opened barely four months before, swayed and collapsed in a 42 mile-per-hour wind. There were no casualties except a dog trapped in a car stranded on the bridge. A rescue was attempted (by the man with the pipe), but the frightened animal would not leave the car. The site was declared a National Historic Landmark to discourage relic seekers and salvage operations. This file is a composite of the good quality Internet Archive file and...

This one's about strange women who love their men to death, literally! Maybe the fact that there's a research facility doing top secret experiments might have something to do with the suspicious deaths.

These Girls Are Fools was also released as Hell is a Place Called Hollywood (1950) and reissued in 1956, but may have been filmed in the '40s. This is both a time capsule and an ironic oddity. A Hollywood exploitation film about the dangers of exploitation in Hollywood. A naive girl with dreams of stardom lands her first role in a dubious "art film". (You may want to avert your eyes during the skinny dipping sequence.) Unable to get any more film offers, she is forced to work as a...
